Shout out to Anker’s Customer Service and the Anker Warranty!

Hey Friends!

I feel it is my duty to report back on the good (and the bad) experiences I receive from various tech related companies and their products. Today I want to take a moment to make a special Thank You to the folks over at Anker for their awesome customer service and stellar Anker warranty. Anker is most known for making high output (ie. quick charge), smart, reliable, portable charging devices for our tech toys. Such as this 2 Port Car Charger I’m writing about today:

I had purchased this based on the thousands of solid reviews for various Anker products on Amazon, and other tech websites I follow. I’ve always heard their customer service was top notch, and this weekend I got to experience it for myself. See, I bought one back in October of 2014, and it had worked GREAT. Much better than any other chargers we’ve had! The dual high output ports make a huge difference in recharge times for our phones!

Fast forward to a week or so ago. Bre (my Fiance) had plugged in her phone to the charger and nothing happened. Plugged it into the other port and it started charging just fine. I figured it must be the cable. So, we swapped cables with the working one and still a no go. So, looks like we got a dead port on the charger. Most manufacturers of these types of things have a super short warranty. Anker? How about 18 months. Awesome. Shot them over an email late one evening and the next morning I had a reply. They had me try a couple troubleshooting steps just to verify the problem. No worries. I can do that! So, after we did the couple of small tests they asked for I shot them back another email letting them know it didn’t help. They promptly sent me another charger. Right then and there. They let me keep the old one (which, still works, just one device at a time), and didn’t give any squabble about what we “might have done” to cause it to break like I’ve seen before with other places. Just a – Super sorry for the inconvenience. We got one being shipped out right away, keep the other one for the troubles.

How great is that? Now I’m glad I went with the Anker brand 2 Port Car Charger (with almost 7,000 positive reviews) and 5 Port Home Charger (this thing has 10,500+ positive reviews! HOLY COW!!)

So, if you’re in the market for a home, car or portable charger for your tech devices, I can recommend (with experience!) the Anker products.

Warning. You must buy from Anker Directly. If you buy their cable from another retailer then they will not honour their warranty as I have just found out when their cable went wrong after 2 months. So basically they don’t stand behind their products, just the cable they make a higher profit margin on.

    • You do likely need to buy from an approved vendor. I’ve always purchased from Amazon, and they’ve 100% stood behind their product each and every time I had an issue. They can’t quality control non-approved vendors, unfortunately. Thanks for stopping by though and taking a moment to post!

  2. Thank you! About 8 months now. 🙂
